Nomasense O2 P300 kit
The Polyscan is the only decision-making tool that operates in a system, allowing the determination of the harvest time considering the desired aroma profile and providing assistance in polyphenol management during winemaking.
KEY FEATURES OF POLYSCAN:
The operation of Polyscan is based on linear voltammetry. This allows the device to perform fast and accurate measurements:
- With pre-calibrated electrodes: specifically developed for the examination of oxidizable compounds found in wine and must
- No sample preparation required
- Instant measurement at the sampling site
- Real-time results
Simple data analysis:
Special indices have been developed to facilitate the interpretation of data for wineries:
- Polyphenol concentration
- EasyOx: easily oxidizable compounds (caffeic acid, anthocyanins…)
- PhenOx: total polyphenols
- Quality of polyphenols in blue grapes, red wines (traditional maceration):
- Tannin/Anthocyanin
- Index for determining sensitivity to oxidation:
- Development Trend Index (TE – Tendency of Evolution)
- Ripeness Index: not polyphenol specific!
- MaturOx
- MaturOx
Usage:
The Polyscan provides reference values for these indices, which facilitate the interpretation of data by comparing it to the median, minimum, and maximum values of similar samples (variety, color, winemaking process).
The cloud database allows for the anonymous collection of data and the calculation of reference values in cases of large data volumes.
During measurement, expert rules/recommendations appear on the screen to facilitate decision-making.
Main application areas:
- Determining harvest time considering the desired aroma profile
- Managing pressing for white and rosé wines: separating juice and press juice based on polyphenol concentration
- Pre-fermentation treatments – polyphenol management for white and rosé wines (fining / hyperox / inerting)
- Determining aging strategy – based on sensitivity to oxidation
