CUPROSOL

DESCRIPTION
Stabilized copper sulfate solution.

Dissolved copper reacts with sulfide groups, precipitating them as copper sulfide, thus inactivating the unpleasant-smelling sulfur molecules. CUPROSOL can be used to prevent this undesirable phenomenon.

Copper sulfate-based treatments are authorized by EEC 1493/99 Annex IV, provided that the final wine contains less than 1 mg/l of copper (the limit is defined by the ministerial decree of December 29, 1986).

DOSAGE AND USE
CUPROSOL should be added directly to the wine, with thorough mixing.

Adding 1 ml/hl causes a 0.025 mg/l increase in copper content in the treated wine.

Doses exceeding 40 ml/hl may necessitate clarification.
In high-sulfur wines (e.g., Sauvignon), it may cause aroma loss.

Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from heat and light.
